My husband and I made this together side by side int he kitchen.
We wanted to try something new after being married for 35 years.
Enjoyed the time together and the meal!

Ingredients

  • 6 oz
    large box tie pasta ( 2 1/4 c)
  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 can(s)
    spaghetti or pizza sauce
  • 1 tsp
    minced onion
  • 1/2 tsp
    dry basil
  • 1 large
    egg
  • 1 c
    ricotta or cottage cheese
  • 1/4 c
    grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 c
    shredded mozzarella cheese

How to Make Lasagna style casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Cook pasta until tender, then drain. Fry meat until browned. then drain off fat. Add sauce, onion and basil to meat and mix well
  2. In greased 12 x9x2 baking dish , layer half of pasta. spoon cheese mixture over pasta. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Layer remaining pasta, meat and mozzarella cheese
  3. Cover and bake at 425 for 15 minutes. Then uncover and bake 15 minutes longer
