Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 lb
    smoked sausage sliced
  • 1/2 c
    shallots diced
  • 4 clove
    garlic minced
  • 1/2 c
    dry white wine
  • 2 c
    chicken broth
  • 28 oz
    can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 c
    heavy cream
  • 8 oz
    dry pasta your choice
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 Tbsp
    fresh basil minced
  • 2 Tbsp
    fresh parsley minced
  • 2 c
    shredded cheddar cheese

How to Make Cheese Sausage and Pasta

Step-by-Step

  1. Add oil to large skillet. Add shallots and cook 2 minutes. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds. Add sausage and cook 2 minutes. Deglaze with wine and let almost all evaporate. Add broth, tomatoes, milk, pasta and salt and pepper. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer and simmer until pasta is cooked. Remove from heat and add cheese, basil and parsley. Serve
