My family loves this casserole and it's easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound smoked sausage sliced
  • 1/2 cup shallots diced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 28 ounces can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 8 ounces dry pasta your choice
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley minced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

How To Make cheese sausage and pasta

  • Step 1
    Add oil to large skillet. Add shallots and cook 2 minutes. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds. Add sausage and cook 2 minutes. Deglaze with wine and let almost all evaporate. Add broth, tomatoes, milk, pasta and salt and pepper. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer and simmer until pasta is cooked. Remove from heat and add cheese, basil and parsley. Serve
