2cook noodles according to package directions. drain and set aside.
3In stockpot or dutch oven, melt butter and brown meat. (can also use ground turkey instead of beef).Add seasonings and onions and tomato sauce. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
4In a large bowl, combine noodles, cottage cheese and sour cream. Spoon half of mixture in bottom of 2 1/2 quart casserole dish. cover with meat/sauce mixture. Top with remaining noodle mixture. Sprinkle cheeses on top.
