  • 1 lb
  • 1 lb
    ground beef or venison
  • 1 large
    onion chopped about 1 cup
  • 4 clove
    garlic minced
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 3/4 c
  • 3 tsp
    yellow mustard
  • 2 tsp
    cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 2 tsp
  • 2 Tbsp
    chopped red jalapeno i used christopher ranch jarred chopped jalapeno
  • 1 large
    can pork and beans

How to Make Tex Mex Hunters Stew


  1. Cook bacon in large skillet. Remove with slotted spoon to drain on paper towels then chop into pieces. Set aside.
  2. Brown the onions and garlic in bacon grease for about 3 minutes. Add the burger or venison and cook until done.
  3. In a large bowl mix together the remaining ingredients. Pour over the burger mixture. Cook until heated through about 5 to 7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the bacon pieces and cook another 2 minutes.
