One tasty way to prepare sirloin steak...it can be served on a nice crusty roll, eaten alone as a side, which is how I served it, or over rice. Delicious! I made this to send with hubby as individual dinners as my photos show...mainly when I make it, we have it as a sandwich. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 - 2 pounds thin slice sirloin steak, trimmed and cut against the grain
  • 1 - large carrot , julienned
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons - soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon each - kosher salt & pepper
  • 2 - green onions, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes - optional

How To Make ~ tender korean style beef ~

  • Step 1
    Prepare vegetables.
  • Step 2
Trim meat of fat and slice against the grain into strips.
  • Step 3
In a large zip lock bag, place the meat and add all of the other ingredient...squish the bag around, so as to evenly distribute ingredients with the meat.
  • Step 4
Place in refrigerator and marinate at least 6 hours, overnight preferably.
  • Step 5
Place 3 - 4 tablespoons oil in wok and get good and hot. Place strips of meat and vegetables into hot oil and stir fry, until meat is cooked though. ( should stir fry in batches. ) Won't take long as strips are thin. Don't overcook.
  • Step 6
This meat can either be served in a sandwich or over rice. I served mine with a side of rice and vegetable. Enjoy!
