This is a pretty easy casserole to put together. The hardest part is waiting for it to get done! Add a few chips, salsa, salad, and cold beer or a margarita, and you got a great meal!

Ingredients
- - #1 ingredients
- - 1 lb. ground beef, cooked and drained
- - 1 16-ounce can chili beans
- - ½ cup tomato sauce
- - 2 teaspoons chili powder
- - ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- - #2 ingredients:
- - 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- - ½ teaspoon baking soda
- - ½ teaspoon salt
- - 1 cup milk
- - 2 eggs, beaten
- - 1 14 ounce can cream style corn
- - 2 cups of mexican style shredded cheese
- - 1 4-ounce can green chilies, chopped
- - ½ cup chopped onions
How To Make cornbread tamale casserole

Step 1Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2Grease a rectangle (8x11.5x2) baking dish and sprinkle with yellow cornmeal.

Step 3While cooking the hamburger, mix all of the #2 ingredients together in a bowl; set aside.

Step 4After cooking and draining the hamburger, stir in the rest of the other #1 ingredients in with the hamburger; mix well.

Step 5Pour ½ the cornbread batter( ingredients #2) into the prepared casserole dish.

Step 6Add the meat mixture (ingredients #1) on top of that.

Step 7Finish off with adding the rest of the cornbread batter on top of the meat mixture.

Step 8Bake for40-45 minutes.
