Stuffed Peppers W/Ground Beef & Italian Sausage

Owe this one to my creative Husband...this combination of flavors is truly amazing.

3 large
green peppers
2 lb
ground beef 80/20
1/2 lb
ground italian sausage
1 tsp
garlic powder
1 tsp
onion powder
1 tsp
salt and pepper
1 Tbsp
rice, uncooked
1 can(s)
tomato sauce
1 c
cooking wine
1 Tbsp
olive oil


1cut peppers lengthwise and take out the seeds
2In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients, except the last three.
3In a large the tomato sauce & wine...start simmering....fill each pepper ( equally) with the mixture, place in the sauce and drizzle with the olive oil....
4simmer for 30 mins....and occasionally pour sauce from bottom of pan over the tops of the peppers...garnish with parsley and service with white rice.
