Ingredients

  • 3 large green peppers
  • 2 pounds ground beef 80/20
  • 1/2 pound ground italian sausage
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon rice, uncooked
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup cooking wine
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

How To Make stuffed peppers w/ground beef & italian sausage

  • Step 1
    cut peppers lengthwise and take out the seeds
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients, except the last three.
  • Step 3
    In a large pan...place the tomato sauce & wine...start simmering....fill each pepper ( equally) with the mixture, place in the sauce and drizzle with the olive oil....
  • Step 4
    simmer for 30 mins....and occasionally pour sauce from bottom of pan over the tops of the peppers...garnish with parsley and service with white rice.
