These street tacos are great with rice and beans or just by themselves. Add your favorite salsa whether it's green or red! Very tasty.

With Cathy's recipe, there's no need to search out a taco truck. These street tacos are just as good as anything you could buy. The seasoning really amps up the flavor of the beef. Lime juice adds a lovely, tangy citrus flavor. This is a simple taco recipe that will really hit the spot.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef for tacos
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 large onion, diced small
  • bunch cilantro, diced
  • 3 - limes
  • - corn tortillas
  • 1 can ranchera salsa

How To Make street tacos

  • Cooking the beef with spices.
    Step 1
    Heat up oil and brown your diced beef seasoned with salt, pepper, cumin, oregano, and garlic powder. I squeeze one of the limes while cooking all over meat add to the flavor.
  • Preparing the toppings for the tacos.
    Step 2
    While meat is cooking, dice up your toppings - onions, cilantro, and limes.
  • Two street tacos assembled on a plate.
    Step 3
    Then put together the tacos. Warm up tortillas on comal (or in a skillet). Add your meat and toppings. I always add some ranchera salsa.
