slow cooker beef stroganoff

My husband is very picky about his beef stroganoff, but this recipe really made him happy. I found the recipe on http://whoneedsacape.com/2014/02/simple-slow-cooker-beef-stroganoff// but did not have the type of soup called for in the recipe so I tweaked it into this.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds stew beef
  • 2 cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 3 tablespoons worchestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 4 ounces cream cheese

How To Make slow cooker beef stroganoff

  • Step 1
    Place the first five ingredients into slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours.
  • Step 2
    Cut cream cheese into cubes and add stir into slow cooker. Cook 15 minutes on high then stir to combine.
  • Step 3
    To freeze: Place first five ingredients into a gallon-sized freezer bag. Freeze. Thaw overnight in refrigerator, dump into slow cooker, and cook on low 8 hours. Continue with step 2.
