  • 1 - 10 ounces cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 - 8 ounces mushrooms, cleaned and sliced - optional - i didn't use this time
  • 1 cup dry sherry
  • 1 package liptpn onion soup mix
  • 1/2 - 1 teaspoons thyme
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 - soup can water
  • 1/2 - soup can sherry
  • - kluski noodles, prepared - you could use egg noodles or rice

How To Make sherry beef - n - kluski's - my way

  • Step 1
Season beef with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
  • Step 2
Heat the olive oil in a heavy dutch oven or large skillet. Add the beef and brown on all sides. Stirring occasionally.
  • Step 3
In the meantime, in a medium sized bowl, mix the soup with the onion soup, thyme, minced garlic and 1 cup of sherry. Using empty soup can, fill halfway with Sherry and once beef is finished browning; deglaze the pan with the sherry, scraping all those yummy bits from the bottom of the pan. Now, add a half can of water to the soup mixture and whisk. Pour the mixture into the pot with the beef, stir to combine. Bring to a boil, then place lid on the pot and slow simmer for an hour or until beef is tender. Mine was ready in 1 hour. ( if adding mushrooms, do so when there is about 30 minutes left of cooking). Taste the sauce, season more if needed.
  • Step 4
Now, pour a ladle of beef and gravy over hot noodles, maybe sprinkle with parsley or sliced green onions. Enjoy this delicious comfort meal.
