Mother-in-law handed down several of my husband's favorite recipes. This was his most favorite and I still make it today, 26 years later.

Ingredients
- 3 cups mashed potatoes, prepared instant or leftover
- 1 can cream style corn
- 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 - small onion, diced
- 3 tablespoons butter
How To Make shepherd's pie

Step 1Preheat oven to 400º. Lightly grease a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Set aside.

Step 2In a skillet, brown ground beef and onion until beef is no longer pink. Drain off grease. Spread in the bottom of the baking dish. Spread the corn evenly over the beef. Spoon mashed potatoes over the corn and spread evenly all the way to the edge. Dot with the butter.

Step 3Bake for 30 minutes, or until the butter begins to brown on the top of the potatoes.
