Another recipe from Best Recipes from the backs of Boxes, Bottles, Cans and Jars. I used to make this one often when my kids were young. It is very tasty.

Ingredients

10 1/2 oz
campbells condensed onion soup (i have often substituted liptons dry onion soup)
1 1/2 lb
ground beef
1/2 c
fine dry bread crumbs
1
slightly beaten egg
1/4 tsp
salt
dash of pepper
Tbsp
flour
1/4 c
ketchup
1/4 c
water
1 tsp
worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp
prepared mustard

How to Make Salisbury Steak and Onion Gravy

Step-by-Step

  • 1In a bowl, combine 1/3 cup soup with beef, breadcrumbs, egg, salt and pepper.
  • 2Shape into 6 oval patties.
    In skillet, brown patties; pour off fat.
  • 3Gradually blend remaining ingredients, stir to loosen browned bits.
  • 4Cover and cook over low heat 20 minutes or until done,
    stirring occasionally.
