How to Make S.O.S. aka Creamed Chipped Beef
- Remove beef from jars, rinse and dry on paper towels. Melt butter in a medium sauce pan over medium heat. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper, to make a roux. Stir in broth, milk and Worcestershire sauce. Cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
- Shred the beef and add to sauce; stir and simmer about 5-10 minutes. Serve over biscuits or toast points.
- * I make my own broth (as I have a problem with sodium and MSG included in store bought). It's a long process (2-3 days), but well worth it. I'll post the recipe sooner or later. Sooner, if I get requests.
