This recipe came from my husband's family. I added an extra pound of ground beef, to the recipe, and we just love it! It makes a big pot of chili!

Ingredients

3 lb
ground beef, browned and drained
3 can(s)
15 oz size, tomato sauce
2 can(s)
28 oz size, diced tomatoes, drained
3 can(s)
pinto beans, drained
1 large
sweet onion, chopped
6 Tbsp
(heaping) chili powder
salt and pepper, to taste

Step-By-Step

1Mix above ingredients in a large pot.
2Bring to low boil, reduce to a slow simmer.
3Cover, and simmer, stirring occasionally for approximately 3 hours. Making sure the onion is nice and soft.
4Serve with oyster crackers and shredded cheddar cheese.
(shred your own cheese!)
