    butter
  • 1 c
    white sugar
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1 can(s)
    cream style corn
  • 1 can(s)
    4 oz. can chopped green chiles
  • 1/2 c
    monterrey jack cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    yellow cornmeal
  • 4 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt

How to Make Mexican Cornbread

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Lightly grease baking dish or spray with Pam for baking. In a large bowl, beat together butter and sugar. Add eggs, beating in one at a time. Blend in Creamed corn, chilis and cheeses.
  2. In a separate bowl, stir together flour, cornmeal, baking powder and salt. Add flour mixture to corn mixture, stir until smooth. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for one hour
