Easy! Don't forget to toast the bread, it really adds to the sandwich.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 26 ounces spaghetti sauce (i usually use ragu or hunts)
  • 1/2 cup italian bread crumbs
  • 1 - egg
  • - soft sub bread
  • - mozzarella cheese
  • - garlic powder

How To Make meatball sub sandwiches

  • Step 1
    Mix ground beef, bread crumbs, and egg in a large bowl. Form into 1 inch balls. (Makes approximately 20-24 meatballs)
  • Step 2
    While forming the meatballs, pour the spaghetti sauce in a 3qt sauce pan. Heat until bubbly.
  • Step 3
    Add meatballs to sauce, cover and simmer on low-med heat for 20 mins. or until done.
  • Step 4
    Add butter to the inside of the sub bread, sprinkle with garlic powder (to taste), and add a small amount of mozzarella. Put in broiler until lightly toasted.
  • Step 5
    Add meatballs to bread, spinkle a little more mozzarella, and enjoy! Serve with chips, side salad, veggies, tots...whatever your family likes.
