Ingredients
- FOR THE SOUP
- 5 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 package (1 lb) ready-to-eat baby-cut carrots
- 5 cans (14 oz.) beef broth
- 1 large onion, quartered
- 1/2 tablespoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon whole dried thyme
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon kitchen bouquet
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 cup water
- FOR THE MEAT BALLS
- 2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 cup italian dry bread crumbs
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon steak sauce
How To Make meat ball stew

Step 1Add beef broth, carrots, onion, salt, pepper and herbs to pot. Bring just to boil, cover and simmer 1/2 hour.

Step 2Add potatoes to pot and cook for another 25 minutes.

Step 3Meanwhile, mix together ingredients for the meat balls. Shape into 1 1/2 inch balls. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20 minutes.

Step 4Mix flour and water together until very, very smooth. Add to pot. Next add meat balls, browning sauce and to pot. Cook on medium-low heat, stirring gently just until stew is thickened.

Step 5Let stand for 10 minutes. Serve with crusty bread.
