This is my Mom's receipe. My personal Favorite. This dish may be slowly simmered in a slow cooker or very quickly prepared in a pressure cooker. This is good served over rice or bread; along with a green salad. I also throw carrots into the ingredients. Is a very quick and easy complete meal.

Slow Cooker Crock Pot


  • 1
    round steak
  • 4 large
    potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 c
  • ·
  • 1
  • 1
    bell pepper
  • ·
    salt and pepper
  • ·
    worchestershire sauce

How to Make Meat and Tater Stew


  1. Cut steak into strips or cubes. Heat a small amount of fat in a deep skillet. Brown meat; drain fat thoroughly.
  2. Add potatoes, roux and water to cover ingredients. (More roux may be used if needed).
  3. Add onions and bell pepper (chopped). Season to taste with pepper (red/black), salt and worchestershire sauce. Cover and simmer until tender.
