I've done this using Round Steak, Flank Steak, and most recently (pictured) Sirloin Steak. Round Steak is best when tenderized a little. One of the kids recently called asking for this recipe, had to do a little digging, but found it. It's as yummy as I remembered it to be.

Ingredients
- 1-11/2 pound good quality flank steak, at least 1 inch thick
- 1 cup oil
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
How To Make london broil

Step 1Score steak in criss-cross fashion, place in a shallow dish. Stir oil, vinegar, and garlic together, pour over steak. Cover. Allow to marinate at room temperature for 2-3 hours, flipping over frequently.

Step 2Place on cold rack in broiler pan. Broil, 3 inches from heat, about 5 minutes; season with salt and pepper. Turn; broil 5 minutes more(for medium-rare); season.

Step 3To serve, carve in very thin slices diagonally across grain. Serves 3 or 4.
