A great company casserole. It can be made ahead and reheated.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 cans (5 1/2 ounce) tomato paste
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese or cottage cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped green pepper (optional)
  • 6 - green onions, chopped (optional)
  • 8 ounces medium noodles, cooked
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese

How To Make layered triple cheese and beef casserole

  • Step 1
    Fry ground beef and onions in oil.
  • Step 2
    Add next seven ingredients. Stir. Bring to a boil. Set aside.
  • Step 3
    Beat cream cheese and sour cream together. Stir in ricotta cheese, green pepper and green onions. Set aside.
  • Step 4
    Layer in greased 3 quart casserole as follows: One half noodles. Ricotta cheese mixture. One half noodles. Meat mixture. Parmesan cheese.
  • Step 5
    Bake covered in a 350 degree oven for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake 15 minutes more.
