Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground sirloin or chuck
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 1 - green pepper, about 3/4 c
  • 1 clove garlic, minced finely
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 can your favorite jar or can spaghetti sauce-i like rinaldi
  • 1 pound pkg spagethi, not quite al dente, drained and kept warm
  • 1 pound shredded velveeta, i actually put more in!
  • - salt and pepper to taste

How To Make italian spaghetti casserole

  • Step 1
    Saute garlic, onions, and pepper in oil till tender. Add 1 lb hamburger to pan, cook till no longer pink, drain. While stiill hot, in very large bowl, mix spaghetti, salt and pepper, jarred spaghetti sauce, the meat mixture and the Velveeta. Put in greased 9 X13 glass casserole or baking dish. Cover with foil and bake. I have to be honest, the more Velveeta you put in the more the people rave about this. It truly is loved by all!!!
  • Step 2
    Bake 350 degrees for 1/2 hr ot till bubbly!
  • Step 3
    Serve warm out of the oven. I will some time add a tossed salad, homemade garlic bread or even green beans if zI am serving a group to finish out the meal.
