Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chuck
  • 1 pound bulk italian sausage
  • 1 - egg
  • 3/4 cup italian bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 can mushrooms,drained
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cans tomato sauce(8 oz cans)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

How To Make italian meatloaf

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350
  • Step 2
    Combine ground chuck,Italian sausage,egg,bread crumbs,onions,1/3 cup of tomato sauce,salt,oregano,mushrooms,and pepper.
  • Step 3
    Mix well and shape into a flat rectangle about 10 x 12 on waxed paper.
  • Step 4
    Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over meat mixture. Roll up like a jelly roll and press ends to seal.
  • Step 5
    Place in loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 1 hr. Pour on remaining tomato sauce and bake an additional 15 minutes. Add more mozzarella cheese, if desired during the last 15 minutes of baking.
