Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    ground chuck
  • 1 lb
    bulk italian sausage
  • 1
    egg
  • 3/4 c
    italian bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp
    oregano
  • 1/8 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 can(s)
    mushrooms,drained
  • 1/2 c
    chopped onion
  • 2 can(s)
    tomato sauce(8 oz cans)
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2 c
    shredded mozzarella cheese

How to Make ITALIAN MEATLOAF

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Combine ground chuck,Italian sausage,egg,bread crumbs,onions,1/3 cup of tomato sauce,salt,oregano,mushrooms,and pepper.
  3. Mix well and shape into a flat rectangle about 10 x 12 on waxed paper.
  4. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over meat mixture.
    Roll up like a jelly roll and press ends to seal.
  5. Place in loaf pan.
    Bake at 350 for 1 hr.
    Pour on remaining tomato sauce and bake an additional 15 minutes.
    Add more mozzarella cheese, if desired during the last 15 minutes of baking.
