We wanted tacos and I had no taco seasoning in the box, hmm so I made my own. I must say we really liked it, you can adjust the chili powder to bring up the heat.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp
    paprika
  • 1 Tbsp
    dried onion flakes (i used ts onion onion)
  • 1 Tbsp
    seasoned salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    cumin
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 2/3 c
    water
  • ·
    taco shells
  • ·
    shredded lettuce
  • ·
    shredded mexican cheese
  • ·
    salsa, chunky
  • ·
    hot sauce

How to Make Homemade taco seasoning for taco Tuesday

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix the first six seasonings together set aside
  2. Brown the beef I use a cast iron fry pan, drain the grease, return the drain beef to the pan. Sprinkle the seasoning over the beef add the water and cook stirring occasionally until the water is gone about 5-10 mins
  3. Heat up the taco shells, make your taco and enjoy!!!
