I love anything with hamburger in it. This is a quick dinner for mom's in a hurry.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 - egg
  • 1/3 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1/2 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup mushrooms (optional)

How To Make hamburger steaks with onion & mushroom gravy

  • Step 1
    Mix beef, egg, crumbs salt & pepper, onion powder, garlic and Worchestershire sauce...form into patties.
  • Step 2
    Heat oil, brown patties & onion, remove patties and set aside. Sprinkle flour over browned onions & drippings...mix add broth season with seasoned salt. Simmer over med-low for 5 min. or so to thicken. Turn down low add patties back into pan.
  • Step 3
    Simmer 15-20 minutes. Serve with mashed potatoes. Optional...I added mushrooms to mine...I love mushrooms.
