I think this casserole may also be known as Shepard’s Pie, or is version of it anyway. We call it a good hamburger casserole. :)

Ingredients
- - 1 pound hamburger, browned and drained
- - ½ cup onion, chopped
- - ½ cup onion, chopped
- - ½ teaspoon salt, or more
- - 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- - 1 can (14 ounce) of green beans (cut or string), drained
- - 3 cups mashed potatoes seasoned,yukon gold
- - ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese, or slice up some american cheese
How To Make hamburger casserole

Step 1Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Step 2Lightly butter or grease a 2 quart casserole dish; set aside.

Step 3In a skillet, brown the hamburger. Add the salt, pepper, onion and garlic the last 5 minutes of browning.

Step 4Add the browned hamburger to the prepared casserole dish.

Step 5Add the drained green beans over the hamburger.

Step 6Spread the mashed potatoes over the top of the green beans.

Step 7Sprinkle cheese over mashed potatoes.

Step 8Cover with foil and bake for 35-45 minutes.
