grilled flank steak with soy-mustard sauce
You can use an indoor grill pan or grill this flank steak outside. From Cooking Light April 2012. Suggested sides are Garlic Asparagus and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. The sauce is what makes this recipe!

Ingredients
- 1 pound flank steak, trimmed
- 3/8 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
- - cooking spray
- 2 teaspoons canola oil
- 3 teaspoons fresh garlic, minced
- 4 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons dijon mustard
- 3/4 teaspoon sugar
- 3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
- 3 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped and divided
How To Make grilled flank steak with soy-mustard sauce

Step 1Heat a grill pan over high heat. (Or get your outdoor grill heated up to high/medium-high.) Sprinkle steak evenly with salt and pepper. Lightly coat the steak with cooking spray. Add steak to pan; grill for 5 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness. Let stand 3 minutes.

Step 2Heat a small skillet over medium-high heat. Add oil to pan; swirl to coat. Add garlic; cook for 30 seconds or until fragrant. Add soy sauce, mustard, and sugar; cook 1 minute or until bubbly. Remove pan from heat. Stir in cream and 1 1/2 tablespoon cilantro.

Step 3Cut steak diagonally across grain into thin slices. Sprinkle with remaining 1 1/2 tablespoon cilantro. Serve sauce with steak.
