green chile enchilada casserole
I usually make this with fresh roasted green chiles but use canned when in a hurry or out of chiles.

Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 small onion
- 2 cans cream of chicken soup
- 1 can diced green chiles
- 1 pound cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 jars salsa, chunky
- 1 package corn tortillas
How To Make green chile enchilada casserole

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. You will need a 9 x 13 pan.

Step 2Brown hamburger and onions. Drain . Add cream of chicken soup, green chiles, salsa, chili powder. Stir well.

Step 3In pan spread a thin layer of meat mixture on bottom of pan. Arrange on layer of tortillas ( about 6) then meat mixture, then cheese. Alternate ending with cheese.

Step 4cover with foil and bake approx. 30 minutes, Remove foil and bake another 15 minutes.

Step 5Serving suggestions: Can top with lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream. But great with out.
