grandmother's old fashioned meat loaf

Updated on Jul 18, 2014

I had always regretted not paying enough attention to my grandmother as she cooked this meat loaf but it was so wonderful. Now after trial and error, I've been making it for years! Serve this meat loaf with her glaze on top or with your favorite tomato or mushroom sauce. Then add some mashed potatoes & a green vegetable for a great weeknight family dinner. Also, I sometimes would add a half a cup of bell pepper to this meat loaf whenever I have a taste for it. The bell pepper adds a very nice flavor to the meat loaf and it smells wonderful. Leftovers (if there are any) make a good sandwich.
