grandma's casserole

My Mom gave me this recipe when my boys were little and I've made it for over 30 years. I don't use a full 1/3 cup of bbq sauce and sometimes add a few glugs of Worcestershire.

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 - small head cabbage
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup uncooked rice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 can tomato soup (10 1/2 oz.)
- 2 cups water
- 1/3 cup barbeque sauce (or less)
How To Make grandma's casserole

Step 1Chop cabbage and put in bottom of a 9 x 13 pan.

Step 2Brown meat and onion.

Step 3Stir in rice, salt and pepper.

Step 4Spoon over cabbage.

Step 5In the same pan, heat soup and water to boiling.

Step 6Pour soup mixture over the other ingredients.

Step 7Cover pan tightly with foil and bake 1 1/2 hours in 350 degree oven. Fluff lightly with fork before serving.
