this another cheeseburger casserole recipe,is based on Hardee's El Diablo Thickburger,oh yes it very hot.

Ingredients

  • CASSEROLE
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 medium red onion,chopped
  • 4 - fresh jalapenos, sliced
  • 6 - cooked bacon strips, crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon hamburger seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried chili pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 6 - russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 15 - frozen jalapeno poppers,thawed
  • 2 cups shredded pepper jack cheese
  • CHEESY HABANERO SAUCE
  • 2 - (10 3/4 ounce) cans condensed cheddar cheese soup
  • 3 tablespoons habanero sauce
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup whipped cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

How To Make el diablo burger casserole

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Step 2
    In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, chopped red onion, sliced jalapenos, and crumbled bacon, stirring until no longer pink; drain fat over a colander.
  • Step 3
    Return to the skillet and add hamburger seasoning, chili pepper flakes, and black pepper; cook until the meat is lightly browned, and set aside.
  • Step 4
    For the sauce: in a medium bowl, combine soup, habanero sauce, heavy cream, whipped cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, onion powder, and garlic powder; mix well.
  • Step 5
    In a greased 13 x 9-inch baking dish, add sliced potatoes and jalapeno poppers; mix well. Pour the sauce onto the potato mixture and top with the ground beef mixture.
  • Step 6
    Bake covered with foil for about 1 hour at 350 degrees F.
  • Step 7
    Uncover and continue baking for another 20 to 30 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.
  • Step 8
    Remove from oven, sprinkle with shredded pepper jack cheese over the casserole; return to oven for 4 to 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
