Easy and good. Easy to eat on the run. The meat mixture can be more than you need, depending on the size of circle you make with the biscuit. Press to 4 inch circles, and one can easily use 2 cans of biscuits. That helps if you need to make for a larger crowd as an appetizer.

Ingredients

  • ! pound lean ground beef, cooked and drained
  • 1 package taco seasoning mix
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 1/2 cups thick and chunky salsa
  • 1 can grands flaky biscuits
  • 1 cup shredded monterey jack or mexican cheese blend
  • - sour cream for serving, if desired

How To Make easy taco melts

  • Step 1
    In medium saucepan, cook taco seasoning mix, water 1/2 cup of the salsa and the cooked ground beef until thickened.
  • Step 2
    Press each biscuit into 6 inch round. Spoon 1/3 cup meat mixture and 1 tablespoon cheese onto center of each round. Fold dough in half over filling; press to seal. Place on greased cookie sheet.
  • Step 3
    Bake at 375 9-14 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with remaining salsa, cheese, and sour cream.
