The original recipe for this chili came from and was posted by Deb. This chili received over 2000 reviews with a five star rating. I have tweaked it to fit my family's taste. It is an excellent chili and both easy and fast to make.

ground chuck
1 large
onion, diced
1/2 tsp
black pepper
1/2 tsp
garlic powder
2 1/2 c
tomato sauce
1 8 oz. jar(s)
4 Tbsp
williams chili seasoning, original
1 15 oz. can(s)
pinto beans, do not drain
1 15 oz. can(s)
red beans, do not drain
1 15 oz. can(s)
light red kidney beans, do not drain

How to Make Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili


  • 1In a dutch oven over medium heat, combine the ground beef and the onion and saute until meat is browned and onion is tender. Drain grease, if desired.
  • 2Add the ground black pepper, garlic powder ,tomato sauce, salsa, chili seasoning mix and beans. Mix well, reduce heat to low and simmer for at least an hour.
  • 3*The salsa heat is up to you...mild, medium or hot.
