debdoozie's blue ribbon chili
The original recipe for this chili came from allrecipes.com and was posted by Deb. This chili received over 2000 reviews with a five star rating. I have tweaked it to fit my family's taste. It is an excellent chili and both easy and fast to make.

Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground chuck
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 1/2 cups tomato sauce
- 1 8 oz. jars salsa*
- 4 tablespoons williams chili seasoning, original
- 1 15 oz. cans pinto beans, do not drain
- 1 15 oz. cans red beans, do not drain
- 1 15 oz. cans light red kidney beans, do not drain

Step 1In a dutch oven over medium heat, combine the ground beef and the onion and saute until meat is browned and onion is tender. Drain grease, if desired.

Step 2Add the ground black pepper, garlic powder ,tomato sauce, salsa, chili seasoning mix and beans. Mix well, reduce heat to low and simmer for at least an hour.

Step 3*The salsa heat is up to you...mild, medium or hot.
