I love cooking with the crock pot. This recipe is excellent and so easy. I serve it with stewed or mashed potatoes on the side.

Ingredients For crock pot swiss steak

  • 2 lb
    round steak
  • 1 can
    petite diced tomato, undrained
  • 1 jar
    (12 oz.) beef gravy
  • 1 md
    onion, quartered
  • 4 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp
    dried thyme
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/4 c
    flour
  • 1-2 lg
    carrots, diced
  • 4 Tbsp
    vegetable oil

How To Make crock pot swiss steak

  • 1
    Mix together tomatoes, garlic, beef gravy, diced carrot, worcestershire sauce, 1 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp pepper and thyme, set aside.

    Season each side of steak with salt and pepper to taste. Dredge steaks in flour and brown on both sides in hot oil.

    Add all ingredients to crock pot and cook on high for 3-4 hours.
