This is the recipe that came with my crock-pot and it looks very good.

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp
    all purpose flour
  • ·
    salt to taste
  • ·
    fresh ground black pepper to taste
  • 3 lb
    beef chuck, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 3 large
    carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 1 medium
    onion, chopped
  • 6 slice
    bacon, cooked and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 10 can(s)
    beef broth
  • 2 c
    red or burgundy wine
  • 1 Tbsp
    tomato paste
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 3 sprig(s)
    fresh thyme, stemmed
  • 1
    bay leaf
  • 1 lb
    fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 large
    potatoes, cut into 1-inch pieces

How to Make Crock Pot Beef Bourguignon

Step-by-Step

  1. Season flour with salt and pepper. Dredge meat cubes in the seasoned flour. Sear in a skillet on the stove top, then place in the crock-pot.
  2. Add remaining ingredients to the crock-pot, cover, and cook until the meat is tender, 8-10 hours on low or 5-7 hours on high.
