Ingredients

  • 1 2-3 pounds boneless chuck roast
  • 1 can cooked potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon chopped chives
  • 1 or 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

How To Make chuck roast au gratin

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350. Place roast in 9x13 pan. Roast at 350 for one hour. Spoon off fat.
  • Step 2
    Add about 1/2 - 1 cup water. Cover and cook one hour.
  • Step 3
    Combine soup and chives and pour over the meat. Cover and cook for one hour. Add the drained canned potatoes around the meat after 1/2 hour.
  • Step 4
    Uncover and Sprinkle with cheese and paprika. Bake until the cheese melts.
