  • 1 2-3 lb
    boneless chuck roast
  • 1 can(s)
    cooked potatoes
  • 1 Tbsp
    chopped chives
  • 1 or 2 can(s)
    cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded

How to Make Chuck Roast Au Gratin


  1. Preheat oven to 350. Place roast in 9x13 pan. Roast at 350 for one hour. Spoon off fat.
  2. Add about 1/2 - 1 cup water. Cover and cook one hour.
  3. Combine soup and chives and pour over the meat. Cover and cook for one hour. Add the drained canned potatoes around the meat after 1/2 hour.
  4. Uncover and Sprinkle with cheese and paprika. Bake until the cheese melts.
