Very mild. Good with or without beans. When making it stretch to feed a large family I always include the beans.

Ingredients For chili

  • 3 lb
    ground beef
  • 2 md
    onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp
    dried minced garlic
  • 2 can
    8 ozs, each, tomato sauce
  • 2 can
    16 ozs each, petite diced tomatoes
  • 2 can
    16 ozs each, pinto beans
  • 1 can
    10 3/4 ozs tomato puree
  • 2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 6 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 3 tsp
    ground cumin

How To Make chili

    Brown meat and onion in skillet.
  • 2
    Place meat and chopped onion in large pot.

    Add remaining ingredients
  • 4
    Simmer for an hour, or can simmer all day. The longer the better but will need to check if water should be added periodically.
