Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 quart fresh zcchini or frozen
- 1 cup onions, chopped
- 1 large chopped garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano, dried
- 1/4 tablespoon pepper
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 can 8 0z. tomato sauce
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 large egg beaten
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
How To Make caserole italiano

Step 1Cook zucchini in boiling salted water for 2 to 3 minutes then drain well.

Step 2Saute ground beef, onions garlic and seasoning until onions are transparent. Stir in rice and tomato sauce.

Step 3Arrange half of the zucchini sliced in a buttered casserole: spoon on meat sauce, top with remaining zucchini and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.

Step 4Bake at 350 degrees
