Ingredients
- 4-5 pounds roast (choice)
- - salt and pepper
- - flour to coat
- 2 tablespoons onion - chopped
- 2 tablespoons green chillies, chopped
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 2 cups beef bouillion, hot
How To Make carne guisada

Step 1Rub salt and pepper into both sides of meat; coat with flour and place in a roasting pan with lid. (cast iron is preferable) Cook in 250 degree oven for 4 hours.

Step 2Remove meat to cutting board and cut into 1/2 inch cubes.

Step 3Over medium heat bring juices to a fast simmer and add onion, peppers, garlic, cumin, and chili powder. Cook 4 or 5 minutes and add the flour - stirring to keep from lumping. When flour starts to thicken add bouillion.

Step 4Add meat, cover and cook in 200 degree over for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
