I make this all the time at home, and my family always go nuts over it! it is one of my moms personal favorites, and very easy to make. I hope you enjoy a recipe that was built and nurtured in my family!

Ingredients

  • 2 lb
    sirloin stew meat, cut small
  • 11/2 Tbsp
    olive oil, extra virgin
  • 2 tsp
    minced garlic
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    seasoning salt
  • 2 tsp
    onion powder
  • ·
    1 carton beef broth
  • 1 Tbsp
    worsteshire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    maggi seasoning sauce
  • 1/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • ·
    salt to taste
  • ·
    pepper to taste

How to Make Beef Tips and Brown Gravy

Step-by-Step

  1. heat olive oil in a medium to large frying pan, add garlic, and allow to roast for about a minute.
  2. add stew meat, along with seasoning salt, and a bit of black pepper, sear until just pink in the middle
  3. add flour to meat and oil, stir to make a roux. allow to heat for a moment.
  4. add beef broth a little at a time, allow to thicken between additions.
  5. once sauce is built (it will take more or less the whole carton) add worstechire sauce and maggi sauce.
  6. salt and pepper to taste, and allow to thicken.
  7. serve over egg noodles, mashed cauliflour, rice, or mashed potatoes.
