This recipe is a family favorite. We cook it several times a month. I often don't add the extra salt. It's also easy to double if you're expecting company. For my WW friends, the points (not including the noodles) is 9 per serving. It's an extra 6 points to add a cup of egg noodles.

Ingredients

beef or 1 pkg stew meat
1 pkg
mushrooms sliced, 8 oz
2 can(s)
cream of mushroom soup
2 pkg
brown gravy mix (equal to 8 tablespoons) + 1 cup water
1
onion, diced
1 tsp
garlic powder
1/2 tsp
pepper
1 pkg
egg noodles
sour cream to garnish

How to Make Beef Stroganoff

Step-by-Step

  • 1Brown meat and saute onion.
  • 2Combine salt, pepper, garlic powder, soup and brown gravy (already mixed with 1 cup water) in a bowl.
  • 3Put meat and onion mixture in crock pot. Stir in mushrooms. Pour sauce over top.
  • 4Cook on low 6-8 hours.
  • 5Cook noodles.
