This recipe is a family favorite. We cook it several times a month. I often don't add the extra salt. It's also easy to double if you're expecting company. For my WW friends, the points (not including the noodles) is 9 per serving. It's an extra 6 points to add a cup of egg noodles.

Slow Cooker Crock Pot

Ingredients

  • 2 lb
    beef or 1 pkg stew meat
  • 1 pkg
    mushrooms sliced, 8 oz
  • 2 can(s)
    cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 pkg
    brown gravy mix (equal to 8 tablespoons) + 1 cup water
  • 1
    onion, diced
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 pkg
    egg noodles
  • ·
    sour cream to garnish

How to Make Beef Stroganoff

Step-by-Step

  1. Brown meat and saute onion.
  2. Combine salt, pepper, garlic powder, soup and brown gravy (already mixed with 1 cup water) in a bowl.
  3. Put meat and onion mixture in crock pot. Stir in mushrooms. Pour sauce over top.
  4. Cook on low 6-8 hours.
  5. Cook noodles.
