Ingredients

  • 1/2 stick
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    onion
  • 1 lb
    round steak, cut in finger size
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    paprika
  • 1 can(s)
    cream of celery soup
  • 1 can(s)
    cream of chicken soup
  • 1 small
    can sliced mushrooms
  • 1 can(s)
    sliced water chestnuts
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • ·
    dried noodles
  • ·
    cooked rice

How to Make Beef Stroganoff

Step-by-Step

  1. Sauté onions in butter or margarine.
  2. Mix beef, salt, pepper and paprika.
  3. Add mixture to onions.
  4. Cook until the meat is a grayish color.
  5. Add soups, water chestnuts and mushrooms.
  6. Cook on low heat for 5 minutes.
  7. Add sour cream.
  8. Remove from heat.
  9. Serve on rice with dried noodles on top.
