Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lb
    beef round steak, cubed
  • 1/4 c
    flour
  • 1/4 c
    water
  • 8 oz
    baby portebello mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 slice
    bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 medium
    onion, diced
  • 2
    carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 1 c
    red wine
  • 1 1/2 c
    beef broth
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Beef Burgundy

Step-by-Step

  1. Turn slow cooker on high.
  2. Place flour in a shallow dish. Flour the beef
  3. Melt butter in skillet. Then brown the beef in the butter for 5 to 6 minutes. Place browned beef in the slow cooker.
  4. Add wine and the cooked bacon. Cook for 4 hours.
  5. Add mushrooms, onion, carrots, salt and pepper. Add water and broth. Cook an additional hour.
