beef and green bean casserole
My family & I love casseroles & this is one of our favorites. It's an easy but tasty comfort food dish to make on a busy day. Note: For a spicier version you can add a drained can of tomatoes with green chilies.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 6-8 ounces fresh sliced mushrooms
- 16 ounces frozen green beans, thawed
- 8 ounces sharp shredded cheese
- 2 teaspoons beef flavored soup base or bouillon
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- - salt and pepper to taste
How To Make beef and green bean casserole

Step 1Preheat oven to 350*. In a large skillet, brown beef, onions & mushrooms in butter. Drain.

Step 2In small bowl combine beef soup base (or bouillon if using) into ½ cup boiling water stirring until dissolved. Add to beef & mushrooms.

Step 3Stir in frozen green beans & cook on medium heat for about 5 mins. or until contents are heated through. Salt & pepper to taste .

Step 4Pour into greased shallow baking pan, sprinkle cheese over top. Bake, uncovered in a 350* oven for 30 minutes until bubbly and brown.
