I found this on an A-1 Steak Sauce bottle about 20 years ago. It called for 8 oz can of stewed tomatoes mixed with remaining A-1 Steak sauce to be put on top but I omit this and just add all of the A-1 into the meatloaf.

  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/2 c
    a.1 steak sauce
  • 1/4 c
    dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c
    minced onion
  • 1 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 10 oz
    pkg. frozen chopped broccoli, thawed and well drained

How to Make A-1 Broccoli-Cheddar Meatloaf


  1. Mix beef with steak sauce, bread crumbs, and onions. On waxed paper, pat to a 12x8 ", top with cheese and broccoli. (Keep a small ball of meat mixture to fix any cracks in the rolled up meat loaf). Roll up from the short end; seal. Transfer to a baking pan with sides. Seal any cracks that happen while transferring to dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
