Ingredients

  • 2 pkg
    frozen bread dough, thawed
  • 1/4 lb
    ham, cooked and thinly sliced
  • 1/4 c
    pepperoni, diced
  • 1/4 c
    onion, chopped
  • 1/4 c
    green bell pepper, diced
  • 14 oz
    mozzarella, slices
  • 1/4 lb
    bologna, sliced
  • 1/4 lb
    hard salami, sliced
  • 1/4 lb
    swiss cheese, sliced
  • 1 tsp
    dried basil
  • 1 tsp
    dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • 14 oz
    pizza sauce

How to Make Stromboli

Step-by-Step

  1. Let dough rise in a warm place until doubled in bulk.
  2. Punch down.
  3. Roll loaves together into one 15x12 rectangle.
  4. Layer ham and pepperoni on half of the dough lengthwise.
  5. Sprinkle with onion and green pepper.
  6. Top with 1/4 cup pizza sauce.
  7. Layer mozzarella, bologna, salami and Swiss cheese over sauce; sprinkle with basil, oregano, garlic powder and pepper.
  8. Spread another 1/4 cup pizza sauce on top.
  9. Fold plain half of dough over filling and seal edges well.
  10. Place on a greased 15x10x1 baking pan.
  11. Bake at 375 for 30 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown.
  12. Brush with butter.
  13. Heat remaining pizza sauce and serve with sliced stromboli.
