Ingredients

green pepper
1 med
onion
1 bud
garlic
1 box
sliced mushrooms
1 can
chopped tomatoes
2 pkg
lawrys spaghetti seasoning
2 (12 oz) can(s)
tomato paste
2 (15 oz) can(s)
tomato sauce
1
bay leaf, crumbled
1 tsp.
oregano, dried
2 c
red wine
2 lb
lean ground beef
1/4 c
oil, vegetable
3 Tbsp
sugar
1 c
water
1 can(s)
chopped and drained pitted black olives

Step-By-Step

1Saute 1 chopped med onion,1 chopped green pepper, 1 box sliced mushrooms, 1 chopped bud of garlic in 1/4 cup oil. Drain. Brown 2 lbs of lean ground beef, Drain and add to veggies. Add 2 packages of spaghetti seasoning. (Lawrys is good.) Add, 1 can chopped tomatoes, 2 (15 oz) cans of tomato sauce and 2(12 oz) cans of tomatoe paste, 1 tsp of oregano, 1 crumbled bay leaf, 3 TBLSPS of sugar. Stir well. Add 2 cups of Merlot or other smooth red wine and 1 cup of water. Simmer for several hours until flavors blend.
