  • 1 to 2 lb
    top round, bottom round or sirloin tip steak (any lean-cut) cut into strips
  • 1 14 1/2 oz
    can italian recipe tomatoes and 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2
    red pepper, cut in small strips
  • 1/2
    green pepper, cut in small strips
  • 1/2 medium
    onion in rings
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp
    italian seasoning

How to Make Simmering Italian Pepper Steak


  1. Brown strips of steak in a lightly oiled skillet. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Add onion in rings and peppers cut in strips. Add tomatoes, 1/2 cup water and 1 teaspoon italian seasoning.
  3. Cover and reduce heat. Simmer on top of stove for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
