This cheese bread is by far the best thing you will ever have. No matter how many times I've made it, I can't keep enough of it left for my leftovers. Absolutely wonderful. You can serve with any type of dish but I mainly have it for my Italian dinners. Sheri is my Aunt who gave this recipe to me years ago and I can't thank her enough!

Ingredients

  • 1 package sourdough rolls (i buy these from the market and comes in a bag in the bread section.)
  • 1 package fontanella cheese triangle, grated (do not use substitutes)
  • 1 bunch green spring onions, chopped
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, crushed

How To Make sheri's garlic cheese bread

  • Step 1
Combine all ingredients in a bowl - except the bread. Stir and add more mayonnaise if needed. You just want enough to hold it all together.
  • Step 2
Slice each roll in half. Place on cookie sheet and spread at least a rounded tablespoon of cheese mixture on each half.
  • Step 3
Place under the broiler until brown.
  • Step 4
Serve warm with your dinner or salad. Note - this bread is so good, we eat it cold out of the refrigerator as well!
