  • 3-4
    sweet italian sausages (casings removed)
  • 1 c
    white button mushrooms (sliced)
  • 2 medium
    roma tomatoes
  • 1/3 large
    red or green pepper
  • 1 jar(s)
    bertolli four cheese rosa sauce
  • 1 box
    barrila penne pasta
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter or margarine
  • pinch
    salt & pepper to taste

How to Make Sheleena's Perfect Penne Pasta


  1. Cook Penne pasta according to package directions

    Chop tomatoes and pepper, slice mushrooms if purchased whole
  2. Brown sausage in large non-stick skillet, adding sliced mushrooms and green pepper about halfway through cooking (salt & pepper to taste) – drain if excessively greasy
  3. Add tomatoes near end of browning the sausage
  4. Once all sausage is cooked and mushrooms and green peppers begin to soften ADD complete jar of Bertolli Sauce

    Cook on medium heat until bubbly
  5. Drain and rinse pasta, toss with butter
  6. Place pasta in bottom of individual pretty bowls and ladle sauce on top

    Serve piping hot!
