sausage and bean soup

I found a sausage soup online a while back. It was bland so I made some changes to it to suit my families taste. It has become one of our favorite soups when it is cold out. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound mild italian sausage
  • 1 pound hot italian sausage
  • 4 large carrots sliced
  • 3 medium zucchini sliced and cut in half
  • 1 large onion
  • 3 cans northern beans do not drain liquid ( regular size cans
  • 4 cans beef broth (regular size cans)
  • 2 cans italian stewed tomatoes (regular size cans)
  • 1 pound spinach
  • 4 ounces whole wheat rotini noodles
  • - garlic powder
  • - salt

How To Make sausage and bean soup

  • Step 1
    season mild and hot italian sausage with garlic powder and brown.
  • Step 2
    add sliced carrots,tomatoes,broth,beans,zucchini,and onion. let simmer until vegetables are soft.
  • Step 3
    meanwhile cook rotini in seperate pot.
  • Step 4
    when vegetables are cooked and soft add rotini and spinach and cook until spinach is cooked which should only take a few minutes. add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Step 5
    serve hot with warm dinner rolls. Enjoy!
